New Build Update from Kier
What Have We Done?
As you can see the steel frame for the new Winsford E-ACT Academy is now well advanced and progressing well to the programme of on site works.
What Are We Doing Now?
The steel frame for the new Academy is now well under way and progressing well. Drainage for the scheme is ongoing. We are now putting down the metal decking, on the first and second floor, in readiness to begin pouring the concrete floors, that will form the various levels of the new Winsford E-ACT Academy.
Starting w/c 9/7/12, over a 6 week period, we will begin pouring the concrete slabs. This activity requires a finishing process to the top of the slab, known as power floating, this is done to achieve the required finish to the concrete. The power floating activity is a long process and this will mean that work on site, on the day of a pour, will go on into the evening.
